Inertia
‘Inertia’ refers to the slowdown in a pendulum movement.
The 10’00” film ‘Inertia’ is a homage to dystopian science fiction. The soundtrack oscillates between a high-pitch note and the deep bass noise of an engine. The film is loosely connected to a text in English: a short fictional story set in a space ship.
The viewer visits a deserted planet. In barren dunes a large bunker contains remnants of a lost civilization. In diorama-like glass cases, possible scenarios of the destruction of the planet are preserved. Hints of what might have happened are hidden in the film.
